The VVT Stealth 64 is an upgraded, drop-in, replacement turbo for the 2004.5-2010, LLY, LBZ, and LMM Duramax.  It is designed to bolt in and require nothing other than removing the factory turbo and dropping this one in it’s place.  The turbo features a custom profile billet compressor wheel, upgraded internal components for increased durability, custom billet turbine wheel, all packaged in a stock appearing package. 

The VVT Stealth 64 is one of the quickest spooling turbo's we have tested for the Duramax.  Even the most experienced enthusiast have a hard time telling the difference between a stock Garret turbo and an VVT Stealth 64 during daily driving.  This is directly tied to the tight exhaust housing and light weight turbine wheel.  If you are going to daily drive your Duramax, consider quick spool-up a "must have".

The stock LBZ/LLY/LMM  turbocharger runs out of air at about 530 rwhp.  It has trouble controlling EGTs on extended pulls past 400 rwhp.  The Stealth 64 VVT extends the useful power curve of the engine out another 120 rwhp.  Furthermore, the Stealth 64 VVT is much better at controlling exhaust gas temperatures under sustained load when towing up long grades at high power.  This is accomplished through the use of a specially designed billet compressor wheel which is matched to a higher flowing turbine assembly.  This match represents the best balance between quick spool-up response for drive-ability and overall compressor flow for peak power for truck owners looking to make 650 rwhp. 

 

The Stealth 64 VVT is an easy to install upgrade that spools up quickly, controls EGT's under heavy load, allows to turbine braking during towing scenarios, and kicks ass when leaned on.
